I recently heard of Profi nasal spray as a prophylaxis for COVID. It claims 99% effectiveness in preventing infection and the protection lasts for 8 hours. It is supposedly marketed by Harvard researchers. Do you know anything about this? Is it legitimate? Thank you.

Thanks for your comment. Here is a link (below) to the Harvard news release. The spray forms a gel on the nasal mucus membrane and helps protect against infections - in mice. Tested on flu like viruses. It is not fool proof but would be a useful addition to the toolbox of preventive measures - like getting vaccinated and wearing a mask.

It is a terrifying time to be a woman of child bearing age in this country. Thanks for this information. Even though both my senators are Republicans, I will write to them anyway, maybe someone on the staff will read the letter and have second thoughts
