Hey thank you for looking into this. As you probably assumed, I live in Utah, and the level of conservatism around this issue is suffocating.

I’m sorry to keep bothering you, but another topic I have is I’m wondering what your thoughts are on with Dr. Joe Jarvis and his state based proposal for healthcare?

Thanks - I will look into it and get back to you. I understand the stifling atmosphere, We recently were lecturing at a local college and met a mother and daughter in the audience who moved to Washington to escape the oppressive healthcare laws. Have a good weekend.

I am posting the reply from the Utah insurance commissioner. They don't collect volume of denials just percentages. Some of these seem really low.

This information is available on the Department's website at: https://healthrates.utah.gov/measures

Please click on the percentage and cost of denied services. This will provide you with an estimate of the percent of denied services and their average cost. You want the 3nd column from the right on the denied services page. Hope this helps....Alan

Hi. Thanks for being a subscriber. I talked to the office of the Utah Insurance Commissioner this morning and they asked me to put my request into an email. As soon as I have data I will let you know.
