You Know They Are Lying - Their Lips Are Moving
The Trump administration has declared that it will aggressively combat chronic disease in America. Yet in its feverish purge of federal health programs, it has proposed eliminating the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and its annual funding of $1.4 billion.
That’s one of many disconnects between what the administration says about health — notably, in the “MAHA Report” that President Donald Trump recently presented at the White House — and what it’s actually doing, scientists and public health advocates say.
Among other contradictions:
The report says more research is needed on health-related topics such as chronic diseases and the cumulative effects of chemicals in the environment. But the Trump administration’s mass cancellation of federal research grants to scientists at universities, including Harvard, has derailed studies on those subjects. (see next article)
The report denounces industry-funded research on chemicals and health as widespread and unreliable. But the administration is seeking to cut government funding that could serve as a counterweight.
The report calls for “fearless gold-standard science.” But the administration has sown widespread fear in the scientific world that it is out to stifle or skew research that challenges its desired conclusions. Not scientific at all - just propaganda,
“There are many inconsistencies between rhetoric and action,” said Alonzo Plough, chief science officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a philanthropy focused on health.
The report, a cornerstone of President Donald Trump’s “Make America Healthy Again” agenda, was issued by a commission that includes Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and other top administration officials.
News organizations found that it footnoted nonexistent sources and contained signs that it was produced with help from artificial intelligence. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described the problems as “formatting issues,” and the administration revised the report. (KFF)
Of all the things Trump and his staff of hateful administrators do best is lying.
Trump is Hateful & The Public Suffers
Women’s healthcare suffered because it was not studied. Women have different symptoms than men, they often react differently to medications. They present heart attacks differently. Women died because doctors were trained with a white male model for more than a century.
For 50 years, researchers at Harvard have been collecting samples from hundreds of thousands of women and tracking their health. The work has deepened basic understanding of human health, but now the entire project is in danger because the felonious revenge president wants to decide who can work at a university and who can be admitted.
This is the longest prospective health care studies for women that’s ever been done. They picked nurses to do the study because they know how to answer health questions correctly and can draw their own blood and the like — it’s very cost-effective.
The National Nurses Health Study gathered data through the years from some 280,000 nurses in the United States has contributed enormously to improving how we live. The work has informed dietary recommendations, including national dietary guidelines; led to hormonal therapies for breast cancer prevention and treatment; and contributed to research about how nutrients, inflammatory markers and heavy metals influence disease development. Here is a list of what has been learned from the study of 280,000 nurses from their website
Yet all of that priceless data may soon be discarded due to President Donald Trump’s ongoing vicious and vengeful feud with Harvard over a false antisemitism claim
Let’s be clear people elected this guy to give everyone they didn’t like the middle finger. He will lie and cheat and use terror tactics and illegal prosecutions to do it. Conflating antisemitism with anti Israel is just another lie to serve his rule of terror.
Trump wants to be the sole decision maker for who can work at Harvard and who can study there. Restricting education is just another fascist terror technique to subjugate us.
Funding for the Nurses’ Health Study and its companion study for men, the Health Professionals Follow-up Study, had already been abruptly withdrawn in mid-May.
We the people will no longer have the benefit of those long collected data to improve health and healthcare, because we have a fascist as a president.
ACTION

“I am your constituent and I am furious that Trump and his hand picked anti-science team at HHS have cancelled the Nurses’ Health Study and its companion study for men, the Health Professionals Follow-up Study at Harvard. The 50 year National Nurses study has identified early links between cigarette smoking and cardiovascular disease, and between postmenopausal obesity and breast cancer. Also, research on the impact of diet on health in the Nurses' Health Studies has informed dietary recommendations, including national dietary guidelines.
Look, research into women’s health lags behind research into healthcare for men. Medical textbooks cite white male examples 85% of the time. Women’s health will improve when it is studied.
I want you to make sure that 50 year Nurses’ Health Study and its companion study for men, the Health Professionals Follow-up Study at Harvard are funded. You can do it in law to help protect all of us. I mean, that is why we sent you there isn’t it? Thank you.
