Thank you for taking the time to read this mostly daily newsletter and for taking action to move us closer to Universal Healthcare.
Current State - Reproductive Rights Under Attack
There is so much activity underway to restrict women’s reproductive rights that I thought I would present a few of the bigger stories.
The number of states where abortion is legal is shrinking. Here is an interactive map, from Planned Parenthood that indicates the status in your state.
Next, make no mistake, the attack on reproductive rights is taking many bizarre twists and turns.
Here are some recent headlines (Click on the picture above)

Sentenced to 20 years in prison for having an abortion
The opening image of today’s newsletter shows an interactive map where each of these travesties occurred. Here is a link to that interactive map. When you click on each person in the map their related story pops up.
Ok, Judge Kacsmaryk will be ruling on national access to abortion pills soon. We need to let our representatives and the President know they need to take action now.
What You Can Do (Two Actions)
#1 Here is a link to contact the White House and push them to publicly announce how they will respond to protect abortion access if Judge Kacsmaryk orders the FDA to withdraw its approval. (Thank you Susan Rogan)
Here is a sample text you can cut and paste into the comment form.
53% of all abortions in the US are medication abortions. This is a safe and effective procedure used for over 20 years in the US. It is safer than Tylenol or Penicillin. How will you restore women’s access to medical abortions and what will you do to safeguard women’s reproductive rights? We need to know now.
#2 We can also contact our Senators and Congressional Representatives and tell them to restore Women’s Reproductive Rights as well as access to abortions that use Mifepristone.

I am writing to you because I am so concerned about the scaling back of women’s reproductive rights around the country. Women are not second class citizens and I want you to pass legislation that gives people the right to choose to have an abortion, the right to use contraception, and the access to prescription abortions, which are safe and effective. There is no time to waste - do this now.
